Securitize has appointed Sunil Sabharwal, a former U.S. representative to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), to its board. Sabharwal, who served at the IMF from 2016 to 2018 and received the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Distinguished Service Award, brings extensive experience from his roles at Blackstone and various financial institutions. Securitize manages over $4 billion in on-chain assets, including tokenized products from major institutions like BlackRock and Apollo. The company, which recently entered an acquisition agreement with a Cantor Fitzgerald subsidiary, is valued at $1 billion. The combined entity is set to trade on Nasdaq under the ticker CEPT, marking a significant milestone in Securitize's growth trajectory.
