Secret Network has announced plans to migrate to the Arbitrum ecosystem, transitioning its SCRT token to an ERC-20 format on Arbitrum. The migration snapshot is scheduled for September 1, 2026. While native and staked SCRT will be automatically migrated, other forms such as sSCRT, SCRT in contracts or liquidity pools, and bridged tokens must be converted to native or staked states before the deadline.
Post-migration, SCRT will continue as the governance token, with a proposed reduction in its inflation rate from 9% to 5%. SCRT Labs will cease maintaining Secret Network and will open-source all code following the migration. This proposal is subject to a community governance vote. Currently, the SCRT token is priced at $0.03965, experiencing a 30.7% decline over the past 24 hours.
