Cardano wallet provider SecondFi has confirmed a security breach resulting in the loss of approximately 16 million ADA from 374 addresses. The incident involved four fund transfer events, with three executed by external attackers. In response, SecondFi has implemented patches for unaffected wallets and plans to resume normal operations shortly. To prevent further losses, SecondFi transferred around 129 million ADA to a third-party custodian and engaged an external audit to ensure asset reconciliation. Affected users are advised to submit compensation claims via the official website and avoid importing seed phrases into other Cardano wallets due to ongoing security risks.
