Shareholders of UK-listed Satsuma Technology have approved the liquidation of the company's Bitcoin holdings and its delisting from the London Stock Exchange. The decision, supported by 90% of shareholders, involves selling all 668 BTC, valued at approximately $43.5 million, and returning the capital to investors. Despite opposition from four of the six directors, the proposal was driven by shareholders.
Satsuma, the second-largest listed Bitcoin reserve company in the UK, adopted its Bitcoin reserve strategy less than a year ago. The company initially raised $218 million through convertible notes, with investors substituting part of the cash with 1,097 BTC. However, it later sold 579 BTC to repay noteholders who opted not to convert to shares. As of April, Satsuma's share price had plummeted over 99% from its peak.
