Samsung and SK Hynix are reportedly planning to request price cuts from IC substrate manufacturers. Earlier this year, both companies accepted a price increase of approximately 3% to 4% due to rising costs of raw materials like gold and copper. However, with recent stabilization in raw material prices, Samsung and SK Hynix argue that the conditions justifying the earlier price hikes no longer exist, and they are advocating for a return to previous pricing levels for the second half of the year.
