Russian authorities have detained seven employees of "Rosseti Moscow Region" on suspicion of facilitating illegal cryptocurrency mining operations in the Moscow region. The detained individuals, whose roles ranged from ordinary electricians to senior engineers, allegedly provided paid services to illegal mining farms. These services included artificially lowering electricity meter readings and helping to evade scheduled and unscheduled inspections. According to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, these activities have resulted in an estimated economic loss of approximately 10 million rubles.
