Russia has fully blocked the domains of WhatsApp, as reported by Russian media on Wednesday. Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov indicated that the block could be lifted if WhatsApp complies with Russian laws and shows a willingness to negotiate. This move follows previous restrictions on WhatsApp and Telegram calls initiated by Moscow last year. In January, Andrey Svintsov, Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma, announced plans to completely block WhatsApp by the end of 2026.
