Rollups have experienced a significant increase in daily transactions per second (TPS), soaring from just over 200 in early October to more than 4,400 recently, according to L2Beat data. This surge marks a new all-time high for Rollups. The growth is primarily attributed to Lighter, which utilizes Ethereum blobs in its ZK Rollup. Lighter achieves over 4,000 TPS by publishing only about 100MB of data daily, thanks to its state diffs and application-specific architecture. In comparison, Arbitrum processes 37 TPS with 436MiB per day, Base handles 155 TPS with 2.11GiB per day, and Soneium manages 39 TPS with 241MiB per day.
