Robinhood Chain users paid $4.45 million in gas fees on Sept. 2, exceeding the combined total spent on Ethereum, Solana and Tron, according to the source material. The figure was 82 times higher than fees paid on Aug. 22.
The increase was driven primarily by higher pricing rather than transaction growth. Transactions rose 36%, while the base fee climbed 23 times over the same period. RobinhoodApp is currently covering gas costs in its wallet, but that arrangement is set to end on Sept. 29.
