Ripple's USD stablecoin, RLUSD, experienced a surge in activity, minting $39.4 million in the past 24 hours. This increase includes $33.4 million minted on May 18 and an additional $6 million since May 19. Notably, two transactions on the XRP Ledger accounted for $31 million of the total, with separate mints of $16 million and $15 million. The RLUSD supply on the XRP Ledger now stands at $442,192,034, with a total circulating supply of $1,611,422,372.
In related developments, Ripple Engineering Lead J.A. Akinyele issued a notice to XRP Ledger validators regarding the upcoming XRPL 3.1.3 patch, set to activate in eight days. Currently, 44% of the network's nodes have upgraded to version v3.1.3. Akinyele emphasized the importance of upgrading to avoid patch blocking, which would prevent nodes from communicating with the network.
