Ripple has received preliminary approval from Luxembourg's financial regulator, CSSF, for an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license. This license, pending fulfillment of remaining conditions, will enable Ripple to offer regulated payment services involving stablecoins and other digital assets across the EU through the passporting mechanism. Additionally, Ripple is pursuing a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) license under the EU's MiCA framework. Last week, Ripple's UK subsidiary obtained approval for electronic money and crypto asset activities.
