Ripple and the University of California, Berkeley have launched the University Digital Asset Xcelerator, a six-week program designed to scale digital asset products on the XRP Ledger. This initiative, part of Ripple's University Blockchain Research Initiative, aims to support startups in developing digital asset solutions. The program, which began in autumn 2025, has already seen startups tokenize $58 million in assets and launch on the XRPL mainnet. The collaboration involves Ripple providing engineering support and mentorship, while UC Berkeley contributes faculty expertise and a network of venture-backed founders. The initiative underscores Ripple's commitment to enhancing the XRP ecosystem and fostering innovation in digital assets. With XRP prices currently at $2.06, the program is set to attract mission-driven founders eager to participate in this evolving sector.
