Revolut has obtained a full banking license in Mexico, marking its first banking establishment outside Europe. This strategic move allows the London-based neobank to offer comprehensive digital banking services, including high-yield savings accounts, global payment connectivity, and local bill payments, to a market seeking alternatives to traditional banks. Revolut's CEO, Nik Storonsky, highlighted the significance of this expansion, noting that it sets a precedent for the company's growth into other high-potential markets. The launch in Mexico is part of Revolut's broader strategy to reach over 100 million daily active users globally. Following this milestone, Revolut is also pursuing a banking license in Peru to further its presence in Latin America.
