Raydium, a decentralized exchange on the Solana blockchain, has announced that it will cover a $1.34 million loss from its treasury following an attack on its deprecated AMM V3 program. The breach affected five inactive liquidity pools, including RAY-SOL, USDC-RAY, and SRM-SOL, resulting in the theft of 150,000 RAY, 5,600 SOL, and nearly 900,000 USDC. The vulnerability, which allowed attackers to bypass ratio checks due to insufficient validation of LP mint, was in a program deprecated since 2021.
Raydium assured users that the current mainnet program remains secure and is undergoing a separate security review. The exchange emphasized that current users are unaffected by this incident, as the compromised program was no longer active.
