Finnish AI lab QuTwo has raised $29 million in an angel funding round, achieving a post-money valuation of $380 million. The round was led by prominent angel investors including Yuri Milner, Xavier Niel, and Niklas Zennström. QuTwo, founded by Peter Sarlin, focuses on its core product, QuTwo OS, which orchestrates computational tasks across classical, quantum, and hybrid architectures.
The company has secured approximately €20 million in contract revenue with clients such as Zalando and OP Financial Group. Sarlin, who previously founded Silo AI, aims to leverage the transition from GPU to QPU technology, opting for angel investments to maintain R&D flexibility. The team includes co-founders Kaj-Mikael Björk and Kuan Yen Tan, with a workforce of about 50 people.
