Russian President Putin has revealed ongoing discussions with the United States regarding the management of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, according to a report by Kommersant. The U.S. has reportedly shown interest in using the plant's electricity for Bitcoin mining, involving potential power supply and cooperation arrangements. The Zaporizhzhia plant, Europe's largest and the ninth largest globally by installed capacity, has been under Russian control since March 2022 and is currently managed by Rosatom, Russia's state nuclear energy corporation.
