Pryzm, a yield-generating Layer 1 network, announced it will shut down its mainnet in early January 2026 due to an unsustainable economic model. Users are advised to merge Yield Tokens and Principal Tokens and redeem Collateral Tokens promptly. Pryzm plans to offer a token burn mechanism for PRYZM holders to receive allocations in future Ethereum DeFi projects.
Following the announcement, the PRYZM token's price plummeted nearly 80% within 24 hours, reducing its market capitalization to approximately $52,657.57, according to Coingecko data.
