POSCO International has tokenized its trade receivables on the Avalanche blockchain, completing a real-world asset transaction on-chain. The move came one month after the South Korean trading company completed a similar pilot on Injective.
POSCO International’s U.S. subsidiary worked with trade finance platform Olea and asset-backed fintech company Intain. Intain used AI to reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and shipping documents before verifying and recording the receivables on its Avalanche-based Layer 1 network. The three companies said they plan to explore more tokenized trade finance applications, including stablecoin-based cross-border settlement and digital treasury management tools.
