Port3 Network has announced a token migration plan following a recent exploit where attackers minted 1 billion PORT3 tokens, valued at approximately $13.07 million. The migration snapshot was completed at 20:56 UTC, immediately after the attack, ensuring a 1:1 token migration ratio. Centralized exchanges (CEX) are synchronizing the process to ensure user funds remain secure.
The distribution will occur on-chain in multiple transactions, each ranging from 200 to 500 tokens, specifically targeting users affected by the exploit. The method of distribution via CEX is yet to be confirmed. The new tokens will be deployed exclusively on the BNB Chain. To counteract the exploit, the team will burn 162,750,000 PORT3 tokens. This strategic move aims to stabilize the token's ecosystem post-attack.
