Prediction market platform Polymarket is reportedly in early discussions with investors to secure funding at a valuation between $12 billion and $15 billion, marking a tenfold increase from its valuation just four months ago. In June, Polymarket raised $200 million, led by Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund, at a $1 billion valuation.
Earlier this month, Intercontinental Exchange Inc., the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, announced plans to invest up to $200 million in Polymarket at an $8 billion valuation, excluding previous funding. This investment elevated Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan to the status of the youngest self-made billionaire.
