Polygon launched a cryptocurrency donation channel for the Government of Nepal’s Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support flood relief efforts. The channel, powered by Polygon OMS, can accept supported tokens and assets from multiple blockchains. Polygon said 100% of donations will go to disaster relief and that all fund flows can be verified on-chain. The company is collaborating with Cross River Bank to facilitate donations and said crypto enables cross-border transfers within seconds.
