Poland’s Sejm failed to override President Karol Nawrocki’s veto of a crypto market regulation bill, leaving the measure blocked for a third time. The vote drew support from 241 of 442 lawmakers present, with 198 opposed and 3 abstaining, falling 25 votes short of the 266 needed. The bill would have placed crypto market oversight under the Financial Supervision Authority (KNF). Nawrocki argued the proposal was overly restrictive and could push Polish companies to relocate, while Prime Minister Donald Tusk urged lawmakers to back the bill before the vote and cited an investigation into the collapsed Zondacrypto exchange.
