POAP co-founder and general manager Isabel announced that POAP will enter maintenance mode starting March 16, 2026. From this date, new issuers will be unable to access the issuance interface, and the platform will cease active development. Isabel clarified that existing issuers, previously created POAP collectibles, collector interfaces, and API integrations will remain operational. The decision comes as the team aims to focus resources on developing a new open digital collectible standard supporting a permissionless model, due to limitations in the current platform's growth.
