PNC Financial Services Group, the eighth largest bank in the United States, has partnered with cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase to offer digital currency services to its customers. Initially, PNC's wealth and asset management clients will be able to trade cryptocurrencies directly through their accounts without needing to switch platforms. The bank plans to further explore the use of digital assets in corporate payments and fund management. PNC executives anticipate that as cryptocurrencies gain popularity in payment scenarios, they will support customer settlements in digital currencies. Additionally, PNC foresees stablecoin-related businesses being driven by industry alliances, with banks playing an active role.
