Plume Network, a modular Layer 2 blockchain specializing in real-world assets (RWA), has obtained a commercial license from the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) registry. This license enables Plume to expand its RWA issuance and distribution across the Middle East, Africa, and emerging markets, pending further ADGM approval.
The strategic move positions Plume to capitalize on the region's appeal to global financial entities, including BlackRock and Deutsche Bank. CEO Chris Yin highlighted the Middle East's regulatory environment and economic diversification goals as conducive to innovation. Plume also recently acquired a U.S. SEC transfer agent license for tokenized securities and plans to establish a permanent office in Abu Dhabi by the end of the year, with a business announcement expected in early 2026.
