Pineapple Financial is transitioning its $10 billion mortgage portfolio to the blockchain using Injective, a move aimed at enhancing compliance and auditability. The fintech firm has already tokenized $716 million in mortgage data and plans to tokenize over 29,000 additional loan records. Each record includes more than 500 data fields, ensuring a robust foundation for underwriting and investor reporting. The migration to blockchain is expected to create an immutable and verifiable record of updates, improving transparency. Pineapple Financial also plans to develop new products, such as a mortgage data market and Pineapple Gold, leveraging this new data infrastructure. The company selected Injective for its high throughput and security, which supports detailed loan-level data verification while maintaining platform ownership.
