Pi Network has introduced its Token Launchpad on the testnet, enabling developers and users to create and test tokens in a risk-free environment. Launched on March 20, 2026, the platform allows developers to build and experiment with tokens, while users, known as Pioneers, can explore new apps and support projects without financial risk, as only test tokens are used. The Token Launchpad emphasizes practical application over trading, requiring projects to develop a working app before token launch. Pi exchanged for tokens is pooled to maintain price stability and prevent misuse. Users can stake Pi to support projects, gaining early access to tokens or better rates. The launchpad is linked to Pi's decentralized exchange, facilitating token trading post-launch. Currently in testing, the platform seeks user feedback to refine features before mainnet deployment.
