Crypto wallet Phantom began rolling out Kalshi's prediction market service to US users on October 23, enabling direct trading of event contracts within the app. The integration requires users to complete Kalshi's KYC verification and fund trades through a Phantom Cash account using CASH, a USD-pegged stablecoin. Availability will expand gradually over the coming weeks.
Phantom general counsel Kevin Jacobs stated that the company believes the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has clear jurisdiction over these products and confirmed compliance with state restrictions during ongoing litigation. Consequently, markets in sports, elections, politics, and certain other categories will be temporarily restricted in specific states affected by lawsuits.
