Billionaire investor Peter Thiel is positioning Ethereum as the preferred blockchain for Wall Street's resellers and asset managers (RWAs). His investment firm, Founders Fund, has made significant investments in Ethereum-related assets and companies like ETHZilla and Bitmine, which utilize Ethereum as a reserve asset. Thiel believes Ethereum could serve as an alternative channel for clearing and settling US dollars, stocks, and other assets, potentially boosting its native token through increased network activity. However, Nansen research analyst Nicolai Søndergaard cautions that the narrative of Wall Street rebuilding its financial infrastructure on Ethereum may be more of a marketing strategy to entice investors into purchasing Ether stocks, rather than a reflection of current industry trends.
