The People's Bank of China has announced a one-time credit repair policy aimed at assisting individuals whose credit was adversely affected during the pandemic. This initiative will remove records of single overdue payments not exceeding 10,000 yuan, provided these debts were incurred between January 1, 2020, and December 31, 2025, and are repaid by March 31, 2026. The policy will be automatically managed by the Credit Reference Center, eliminating the need for individual applications, and is set to be implemented in batches starting in 2026.
