The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded a $500 million contract to Scale AI, a company supported by Meta Platforms, to enhance data processing and decision-making capabilities. This contract significantly surpasses the $100 million agreement from September 2025, reflecting the Pentagon's increasing commitment to artificial intelligence. Dan Tadross, Head of Public Sector at Scale AI, highlighted the department's urgent need for AI technology. Scale AI is also participating in the Defense Innovation Unit's "Thunder Forge" initiative and Trump's "Golden Dome" homeland defense project.
