The round saw participation from investors including mint, Tokyo University of Science Investment Management, and Third Wave Financial. Founded in February 2023 by Japanese entrepreneurs, Penguin Securities holds a Capital Markets Services license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore, allowing it to offer cryptocurrency derivatives and traditional financial products.
The funds will be used to expand the company's offerings for qualified and institutional investors, enhance its platform and organizational structure, and explore new business areas. Additionally, Penguin Securities plans to establish a branch in Japan, marking its entry into the Japanese market and seeking collaborations with local partners.
