Peer has launched a beta platform enabling users to purchase USDC using Chinese yuan through Alipay. The service connects buyers with individual sellers, utilizing escrow on the Base network to release tokens after payment verification is completed. The company clarified that it does not have an official partnership with Alipay and noted that China's existing cryptocurrency restrictions continue to apply to all transactions conducted through the platform.
