The Paraguayan House of Representatives has passed two resolutions on December 4, mandating government departments to provide official data on domestic cryptocurrency mining activities. The Ministry of Industry and Commerce is required to disclose the number of individuals and companies registered and authorized to engage in virtual asset mining, along with relevant documentation. Additionally, the National Electricity Administration must report the number of electricity connections approved specifically for crypto mining, including details on responsible parties and installation locations. Both agencies are expected to respond within 15 days.
