Paraguay's National Anti-Drug Secretariat (Senad) recently collaborated with international organizations to host a seminar aimed at enhancing the ability of security forces to identify and combat money laundering, terrorist financing, and organized crime using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The seminar focused on how transnational criminal networks are shifting from traditional financial channels to digital ecosystems. Additionally, Bolivian police operations targeting drug lord Sebastián Marset revealed that high-level criminals are increasingly abandoning cash in favor of crypto assets.
