Osmosis has introduced two proposals to burn approximately 17.4 million OSMO tokens, representing 65% of the total OSMO supply burned to date. The initiative aims to withdraw liquidity from community pools that no longer serve an active function within the protocol.
The recovered OSMO tokens will be permanently removed from circulation through the proposed burn mechanism. Discussion links for both proposals have been published to facilitate community review and feedback on the liquidity reclamation plan.
