OpenSea has acquired Rally, a mobile-focused Web3 platform, to bolster its mobile capabilities in NFT and token trading. The acquisition, announced on Tuesday, is part of OpenSea's strategy to create a comprehensive mobile-first platform for digital asset trading. Rally co-founders Chris Maddern and Christine Hall will join OpenSea's leadership team, with Maddern taking on the role of chief technology officer. The initiative aims to integrate tokens and NFTs into a unified mobile experience, with plans to expand into DeFi, perpetuals, and AI-powered tools. The new mobile app is expected to launch later this year.
