OpenLedger has launched its OPEN mainnet, a decentralized network designed to facilitate data proxies and automated compensation for AI system contributors. The platform allows users to upload datasets to a shared network, enabling developers to train models and receive payments via smart contracts. Inspired by creator platforms like YouTube, OpenLedger aims to reward researchers and domain experts who contribute to AI training. The OPEN mainnet features a 'proof of ownership' system that records the origin of datasets and AI outputs on-chain, ensuring verifiable credit and automated payments. Developers can integrate with the network to build AI agents without managing infrastructure, while contributors earn through the OPEN token based on data usage. This model, described as 'data as a shared service,' allows data producers to earn revenue passively. OpenLedger previously secured $8 million in seed funding led by Polychain Capital and Borderless Capital.
