OnGreen has appointed co-founder Zhang Yu, also known as Martin Zhang, as Chief Green Officer to enhance its efforts in ecological restoration and sustainable agriculture across the Middle East and North Africa. Zhang, recognized as a "Lifetime Expert in Desertification Control" by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, brings over 20 years of experience in sustainable agriculture and desertification control. His leadership will support OnGreen's Oasis Journey model, which integrates desertification control, low-carbon construction, AI optimization, and real-world asset tokenization. This strategic appointment aligns with regional initiatives like the Saudi Green Initiative and UAE Net Zero 2050, as OnGreen aims to transform the region from a "brown economy to a green economy." The platform leverages blockchain technology for impact assessment and offers ESG tokens, a carbon credit registry, and a green asset trading platform to facilitate sustainable economic transformation.
