OneKey founder Yishi has outlined potential solutions following a security breach affecting the DeFi ecosystem. He suggests negotiating with the hacker for a 10-15% bounty as the best outcome. If negotiations fail, the LayerZero ecosystem fund could cover the majority of the loss. KelpDAO, facing financial constraints, might offer tokens and future revenue or sell the project to L0 or BMNR.
Yishi emphasized that Aave's Umbrella and stkAAVE should act as the last line of defense, ensuring WETH depositors do not suffer losses. He warned that any haircut to WETH depositors could lead to repricing across Morpho, Spark, Fluid, and Euler, potentially blacklisting the entire LRT sector and setting back the DeFi industry by three years. Despite the challenges, Yishi expressed confidence in Aave's resilience.
