Oman has introduced a national crypto mining pool, mandating all licensed cryptocurrency miners in the country to connect to this centralized system. The initiative, spearheaded by Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, is in collaboration with Frontier Technologies and utilizes Enegix Global's technology platform and liquidity infrastructure. The initial phase of the project aims to incorporate around 10 EH/s of computing power. Since 2022, Oman has invested over $700 million in mining and data center infrastructure, including a $370 million water-cooled mining facility in the Salalah Free Zone.
