Odyssey has launched its latest world model, Odyssey-2 Max, which significantly outperforms its predecessor and competitors in physics simulation. The new model boasts three times the parameters and ten times the training compute of the Odyssey-2 Pro, making it the largest general-purpose model developed by the company. Utilizing a causal autoregressive architecture, Odyssey-2 Max can generate simulated footage continuously for over 120 seconds without crashing, a notable improvement over bidirectional models like Sora and Veo. In terms of performance, Odyssey-2 Max achieved a score of 58.52 on the VBench 2 physical subtask, surpassing the Odyssey-2 Pro's 49.67 and NVIDIA's Cosmos-Predict2.5-14B's 44.92. It also scored 93.02 on the PAI-Bench physical sub-item. The model is based on the Autoregressive Diffusion Transformer architecture and employs advanced techniques such as continuous flow matching and few-step denoising distillation for real-time inference. Odyssey-2 Max is now available to private beta partners in various sectors, including robotics and gaming.
