Nigeria has become the largest Solana developer hub in Africa, ranking sixth globally in developer share for Q1 2026, according to a SuperteamNG impact report. Nigerian developers account for 67% of active Solana developers in Africa, contributing over $162,000 to the local economy through ecosystem bounties and Solana Foundation grants. SuperteamNG-backed projects, including Evolution and NectarFi, reported significant financial activity, with Evolution processing over $4 million and NectarFi's test phase reaching $6 million in transaction volume. Additionally, 15 Nigerian products integrated Solana features such as stablecoin settlements and SOL collateral lending in the first quarter.
