Nigel Farage, leader of the UK's Reform Party, has acquired a 6.31% stake in Stack BTC, a London-listed Bitcoin company chaired by former Chancellor of the Exchequer Kwasi Kwarteng. Farage's investment, made through his company Thorn In The Side Ltd, involved purchasing 4.3 million shares at 5 pence each, valuing the company at £3.4 million. The £260,000 funding round also saw participation from Blockchain.com as a strategic investor. Stack BTC aims to build a UK corporate portfolio while maintaining a Bitcoin reserve, with Blockchain.com partnering to develop the reserve strategy. Farage, a long-time advocate for Bitcoin, expressed his vision for London to become a leading global cryptocurrency hub.
