Nic Carter, founding partner of Castle Island Ventures, has highlighted Bitcoin's lag in quantum resistance as a potential catalyst for Ethereum's price increase. Carter criticized Bitcoin developers for being "blind" to the quantum resistance issue, while praising Ethereum developers for prioritizing it and creating a detailed quantum-resistant roadmap. He suggested that unless Bitcoin addresses this rapidly, the ETH/BTC ratio could reflect this strategic difference. Carter's comments come amid concerns about the long-term quantum threat to Bitcoin, with ARK Invest noting that about one-third of Bitcoin could be vulnerable. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has already proposed a quantum-resistant roadmap, which has seen involvement from core contributors. Despite criticism from Carter, Bitcoin developers have stated that the proposal has received significant community feedback.
