Network School is acquiring the decentralized social protocol Farcaster. Under the new structure, users who do not opt into updated platform rules will be restricted to read-only access within the application. Balaji Srinivasan confirmed that despite the acquisition and new app-level policies, the underlying Farcaster protocol remains open and permissionless for other clients to build upon and access freely.
