Pranav Ramesh, Head of Options Research at Nasdaq, predicts that cryptocurrency exchanges will be at the forefront of deploying AI agents for retail users. Over the past 18 months, Nasdaq has expanded AI use in market surveillance and compliance, while maintaining human oversight. Ramesh anticipates that crypto platforms will soon offer AI tools for position analysis and trading support, although full autonomy is not yet achieved.
Ramesh also highlighted a trend where AI agents are replacing entry-level roles, with firms like Crypto.com and Messari citing AI as a factor in recent layoffs. His startup, Leadpoet, co-founded with Gavin Zaentz, reported $1 million in annualized revenue in its first quarter and has secured investments from DSV Fund and Astrid. Leadpoet leverages the Bittensor AI network and is part of NVIDIA's Inception program.
