Kong confirmed the account is now back under his control after the security breach. The incident occurred when an AI assistant mistakenly identified a malicious link in a phishing email as X's official verification page. This error led Kong to enter a legitimate verification code into the fraudulent site, granting the attacker access to the account via his publicly available email address.
