NEAR Protocol announced that MyNearWallet, a non-custodial wallet in the NEAR ecosystem, will cease operations on October 31. User assets remain stored on-chain and can be accessed by migrating to near.com, which supports swapping, payments, and yield generation across more than 30 chains with default privacy settings.
NEAR has provided a step-by-step migration guide to help users transition to passkey-controlled near.com accounts. The protocol advises testing the process with small amounts first, using unique one-time deposit addresses for each transfer, moving only one asset at a time, and retaining MyNearWallet recovery information until all balances appear in the new account. Users are warned never to share seed phrases or private keys, as NEAR Foundation and support staff will never request them.
