Morgan Stanley has submitted a second revised S-1 filing to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for its Bitcoin ETF application. The filing confirms that the Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust will be listed on NYSE Arca under the ticker "MSBT." The ETF will have a basket size of 10,000 shares and an initial seed amount of 50,000 shares, aiming to raise approximately $1 million.
BNY Mellon and Coinbase have been disclosed as the custodians and service providers for the Bitcoin ETF. While the revised filing indicates progress, approval is not yet guaranteed. If approved, Morgan Stanley could become the first major U.S. bank to directly issue a spot Bitcoin ETF.
